Finish the mapping exercise if you haven't already - make sure to label all the volcanoes on the map (use the numbers - you don't have to write the names), and write their country that they're in. 2. Do your background research on your type of volcano - 1's had Shield volcanoes, 2's had Composite (Strato) Volcanoes, and 3's had Cinder cone volcanoes. In class on Tuesday, we will get together in groups, and we will present our volcanoes to the rest of the class and teach them. 3. Make sure you have the Volcanoes worksheet finished from last day. I have posted the answers below, so make sure that you check them over. I have been asked to reinstate Word of the Day, so here it is... Word of the day for Tuesday: Tell me what a 'hot spot' is in terms of Earth Science.
Homework for the weekend is to do as much as you can on the Library Webquest. If you come to a link that doesn't work, try googling the topic for other appropriate sites, or else leave it and go to the next one. We'll revisit this on Monday.
